Janet Waters

I am Janet Waters. I am an experienced artist and I like to paint flowers, landscapes, seascapes and animals. My favourite medium is watercolour, but I also work in watercolour pencils and pastels. I hope you enjoy looking at my work. I am a Christian and I am always inspired by nature, in which I see God’s creative hand. I always seek to portray beauty, colour, pattern and design in what I see, and I hope my work reflects something of the beauty of creation. I am very drawn to detail but I can also paint big and bold! I love to paint ‘en plein air’ – direct from nature, when the weather and circumstance allows, but I do also paint from photographs. I have been very privileged to travel to various African countries, where I’ve been on painting safaris. This has all broadened my mind. I also went on a painting holiday to the Galapagos Islands, off the coast of Ecuador. I have been to Norway and various European countries, as well as places in Britain.
I love travelling, walking, sketching and adventure!
