Attenborough Nature Reserve 15/16/17 May. We have a side room over looking the lake for 3 days.Work does not have to be nature related so there you can get creative and show off your work. If you have any questions or are wondering if your work is suitable please get in touch. It would be great to see a members work and to share our joy of creating.

Hello, Welcome to Spot Check!
The Spotted Dog Art Group (SDAG) had the Summer Exhibition at Nottingham Society of Artists Gallery in August, and for the whole of October we have our exhibition at Beeston Library. For more information about Beeston Library, and a report on the Summer Exhibition by Ju Smith (Exhibition Curator). During the Summer we had an enjoyable time sketching and painting at two outdoor events; the Beeston Canal Heritage Centre, and at University Park. For September we have a dynamic new artist: Marie Williams with Layers and Landscapes: Drawing with Charcoal, graphite and mixed media. Saturday 20th September.

any subscriptions for the year – £20. Bring a drink and a cup; hot water, milk
biscuits available.

EXHIBITION INFORMATION FOR SUBMITTING MEMBERS
Drop off Wednesday 1st October – Pick up Saturday 1st November
This exhibition differs from the NSA Gallery exhibition as follows:
We require the information about the paintings you are submitting before the
exhibition.
By Wednesday 24th September.
Stewarding is not required.
If you wish your paintings to be for sale, your contact details will need to be
displayed at the exhibition so that any prospective buyer can contact you.
There will be no facility for selling cards.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Up to 3 original works to be submitted at £3.00 each. There is no restriction
on paintings exhibited in previous exhibitions.
A 10% commission to SDAG is due on all work sold.
BEFORE THE EXHIBITION
Notify Pam Earlam of the works you are submitting by email:

    SUBMISSION DAY

Wednesday 1st October between 10 am and 12 noon

Bring along your paintings and, if you haven’t paid by BACS, your submission fee,
either a cheque payable to SDAG or correct cash in an envelope with your name
and amount on it.
The library gallery is on the first floor. There is a lift.
PRESENTATION OF PAINTINGS:
Please note that the hanging system differs from the NSA gallery and all that is
required is a tight string or cord to be attached to each paintings which will
then be attached to the system.
Pictures to be well framed, the backs neatly taped up and the sides of box
canvases clean and finished.
The SDAG reserves the right to refuse any work that does not comply
with these instructions.

INSURANCE
Public Liability Insurance is provided by SDAG, but insurance for your work is
your own responsibility. The gallery will be opened the public and will not be
stewarded.
PARKING
There is a public car park on Foster Avenue which is £1 for 2 hour. There are also a
few hourly spaces on Foster Avenue itself. Outside of the library there are double
yellow lines.
COLLECTION OF WORK
Paintings to be collected on Pick up Saturday 1st November between 10am and
12 noon
If you have difficulty delivering or collecting your exhibits please contact another
SDAG member or a committee member who will arrange delivery or collection of
paintings and fees prior to this. This will involve taking your paintings to them at a
mutually convenient day/time.

Mon-Fri 9 am–6 pm; Saturday 9 am-4pm.
